What makes So Good To Wear a sustainable brand?

We care for ethics and aesthetics. Sustainable cashmere made with care, without harming animals and without thousands of anonymous people non-stop working on it. It is a conscious process, which we improve day by day. This also means that we don’t follow the herd and launch seasonal collections. We create timeless pieces that will last a long time.

Our business started with our drive to create financial prosperity for the local community of Nepal, in a sustainable way. Therefore, we operate as a real cooperation and involve local farmers, spinners and weavers every step of the way. All our profits are reinvested or spent on improving the living conditions. Our goal is to create a “whole chain” organization, where we can monitor what is happening from the goat to shop. This way we can guarantee that we produce and sell fair trade, animal friendly and sustainable products.

How sustainable is the production of So Good To Wear products?

With the production of our items we do not harm animals and make sure of good working conditions for everyone in the production chain. To make sure we can live-up to this promise, we build long term relationships with all our suppliers and carefully select the best factories to outsource the processes we don’t own yet.

Right now we use yarn from an eco-certified factory in China with good working conditions.

Our yarn has the following certificates:

However, we are working on breeding our own hurdle of goats together with local communities of Nepal. We use innovative and ethical ways to breed and herd these goats, without causing any environmental damage.

We are always improving our production process. We recently started to only use natural dye in our products. This way we minimize the use of toxic chemicals in the making process. Read our story about natural dye here. We continuously improve on other aspects as well. Right now we are working on more sustainable packaging.

HOW DO I TAKE GOOD CARE OF MY PURCHASE

Washing

We encourage you to minimize washing your cashmere item as much as you can. Not only is this better for the environment, it is also not always necessary. Cashmere is a natural product that can clean itself. Hang your item on a hanger outside or in a steamy bathroom and any smells will be gone in no time.

Stains can be best removed by using some cold water right away. Don’t use strong chemicals. If you do need to wash your cashmere item, we recommend you using the special wool program on the washing machine (30°C, 600rpm). You can use special wool detergent or baby shampoo. We advise you to put every item separately in a washing bag or pillowcase. Or wash your items via hand wash with lukewarm water. Don’t rub or wring the item and don’t leave it hanging in water for a long time. 

Drying, ironing and storing

After washing your item, dry the item flat on a towel. This way the item doesn’t stretch out. Iron the items on a very low temperature and use a cloth between your item and the iron machine. This is better for the fibres and will put them into place.

To store your cashmere items, fold your items on a shelf. They can use their shape when you hang them. If you want to store your item in a bag we advise cotton bags (no plastic bags).

Pilling

When wearing your cashmere item for the first time it could start to “pill”, the small fluffy balls on the surface of your item. This is the natural character of the material and appears on places where the material experiences some friction, under the arm pit for example. We would recommend using a special cashmere comb to treat your product.

ORDERS & PAYMENTS

How to place online orders

To provide you with the best possible service, we made you a step-by-step guide on how to go through the ordering process at So Good To Wear.

Step 1: Select your favourite articles

  • Go to the article of your choice, select the desired colour and your size.
    If you are not sure about the size, we advice you to consult our
    size table.
  • Click on the “Add to my shopping cart” button.
  • You will be redirected to your shopping cart where you can find all the products you have selected. If you want to continue shopping, click on the “Continue shopping” button.
  • If you want to complete your order, click on the “Checkout” button.

Step 2: fill in your personal details

  • To be able to ship your order, we ask you to fill in some address details.
  • After entering your billing details and delivery address, you can select a payment method.
  • We recommend you to create an account, so that your details are already entered with your next order. However, this is not necessary for completing the order. You can create an account by checking the box “Create an account for your next visit” and entering an identical password of at least 6 positions twice.
  • Finally, you must agree to our terms and conditions and confirm that all your details have been entered correctly. You can do this by checking both options and then pressing the “Buy” button.

Step 3: Enter your payment details

  • After pressing the “Buy” button, you will be redirected via a secure SSL connection to your payment provider.
  • On this page you can enter the necessary payment details so that your payment can be processed. All your banking information is sent over a secure SSL connection and cannot be intercepted by third parties.
  • After the receipt of your payment you will receive an order confirmation from us via email, in which you will find a summary of your order as well as an indication of the expected shipping time. As soon as your order ships, we will send you a reference number, which will allow you to track the status of your shipment.
  • If you have any questions after reading this, you can always contact our customer service by filling in the contact form.

You can only cancel or modify an order that has not prepared for shipping. Please, contact our customer service as soon as possible for more information. It is also possible to order (and deliver) abroad.

Did you not receive a confirmation?

Please, wait a few minutes and check your spambox, in case the email was refused/blocked by your spam filter. Otherwise, please contact our customer service desk.

Out of stock items

When an item is out of stock we do our best to restock them if we can. All our products are handmade and carefully produced. However, don’t hesitate to contact our customer service team if you have any questions about sold out items. If we don’t have an item anymore you can take a look at one of our retail partners that might have the product you are looking for. Visit our store locator for a shop nearby.

Can I use gift cards to pay?

There are 2 gift cards that you can use on the SGTW webshop:

  • SOGOODTOWEAR gift card
    We send the gift cards via email. If you didn’t receive an email, check your spambox first. 
  • SGTW gift card
    Go to www.sustainablefashiongiftcard.nl for more information. 

Select to pay with a giftcard. If the giftcard is not enough to pay the whole amount, you can pay the remaining amount with another payment method. 

How do I use discount codes?

Fill out your discount code while filling in your check out information. Choose at the top of the page for ‘Click here to enter your code’.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Shipping
  • The Nederlands: Order today before 20:00 for delivery tomorrow.
  • Belgium: Delivery will take 2-3 days for orders within Belgium.
  • Europe & Global: Delivery will take 2-5 working days for orders within Europe, depending on your country. For orders from Australia, Russia, Canada and the US this can take up to 14 working days.

Please note: if you have not received your order within 6 (Europe) or 14 (Global) working days, please contact our customer service. We will be able to look into the whereabouts of your order.

Track & trace 

After your order is shipped you will receive an e-mail with you track and trace code. Please check your spam box if you didn’t receive an e-mail. Track your package, with the Track & trace code via the DPD website. You can find this code in the email you receive when your package has left our warehouse.

Delivery 

Is delivery to another address possible?

It is possible to have your parcel delivered to a different address than your billing address. Please be sure that you are known at this address, to ensure your parcel will be delivered successfully.

Please note: if you choose to have your parcel delivered to you at work, always make sure you put the name of the company in the address field, as well as your own name.

Are there any delivery costs?

We currently deliver in European countries in collaboration with our partner DPD.

  • Netherlands – €5,- for all orders.
  • Belgium & Germany – €12,- for all orders.
  • Europe – €25,- for all orders.
  • For all other countries €50,- for all orders.

One item is missing in my order – what can I do?

It can occur that something went wrong with processing your order. When you are missing an item in your order, please contact our customer service. We will take care of the problem as soon as possible.

Do I need to register?

We recommend you to create an account, so that your details are already entered with your next order. However, this is not necessary for completing the order. RETURN & CANCELLATION

Can I cancel or change my order?

We can only cancel or change your order if the order is not prepared for shipping yet.

If you have placed multiple orders on the same day, it is possible to send these orders together. However, we can only combine your orders if the order is not yet prepared for shipment.

Please contact our customer service as soon as possible.

Return policy

If the items comply with our return policy, you can return them 14 days after receipt. Returns after this period will not be accepted. The original shipping costs and duties are non-refundable. Gift cards are non-refundable.

All returned items must be in their original unwashed and unworn condition and must include the original packaging, including all tags. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment.

Our return policy only applies to online purchases via our official website. If you bought your item via another supplier or store, we advise you to check their return policy.

How to return

  1. We ask you to send us an email via the contact form on the website. Please make sure you give up a reason and enclose a copy of your receipt. If your item was damaged, we ask you to enclose a picture of the damaged item as well. Our customer service team will get back to you as soon as possible.
  2. You receive your online store credit or money refund once our warehouse receives and processes your item. This generally takes 7 working days.

For sustainability reasons, we want to minimize returning items together! Therefore, we decided to only provide funded shipping labels when your item was damaged or incorrect. For other reasons you can return the item, but the shipping label is not funded yet. This way we both take our responsibility and try to minimize returns. We want you to encourage to think carefully about any returning decisions.

How can I return an item bought in a store or other online shop?

Our return policy only applies to online purchases via our official website. If you bought your item via another supplier or store, we advise you to check their return policy.

When do I receive my refund?

The shipping and processing of international returns can take up to 21 days. When we have received your return, we will refund within 7 working days after we have processed the return.

Any refunds will be issued to the payment method you used to place your order. Please check this payment method. All refunds will be made by SOGOODTOWEAR so please make sure you have not overlooked the refund.

Contact our customer service team if you didn’t receive the refund within 30 days.
